Last night, I fell asleep with my TV on, I am not sure exactly what time it was when I dozed off, but I can tell you the exact time that I was startled awake. It was at 11:17 pm. The reason that I was forced out of a deep REM sleep and found to be fully alert, was so some bald guy that buys gold jewelry from the public could advertise his local business via a REALLY LOUD COMMERCIAL! It was kind of funny now that I look back, but at the time, I was so angry at the guy in the commercial for startling me awake that I decided to take down his company’s phone number so that I could express my discontent about his commercial. After writing down his number I, of course, turned off the TV and went back to bed.

Now that its been several hours since I was rudely woken up by my TV, I’ve calmed down and decided not to call the gold guy’s store to give him a piece of my mind. After all, I really don’t know who’s to blame for those load albeit abrasive commercials. However, I knew from the moment I got in to the office this morning, my experience from last night would be the topic of my blog post today.

Had I have fallen asleep with my living room TV on instead, this would have never happened, because that TV features SRS TruVolume and I never experience violent fluctuations because of it, but my bedroom TV, though only a few months old, doesn’t feature this technology, thus has no way of regulating the volume.
